[Bug 1756172] [NEW] gdm doesnt recognise smartcard when first inserted
Public bug reported: We set the following in /etc/gdm3/greeter.dconf-defaults [org/gnome/login-screen] enable-smartcard-authentication=true enable-fingerprint-authentication=false enable-password-authentication=false and restarted gdm. GDM says "Please insert your SmartCard or enter your usernname". When the user inserts their smartcard to login nothing happens. We expect for SmartCard authentication to start but it does not. If the cancel button is pressed then GDM looks at the card, starts the authentication process and prompts for the card PIN. The user logs in successfully. We can teach our users to hit the cancel button but that seems like a bug. Other version of GDM (eg under RHEL) recognise when a SmartCard is inserted. [Bug 1002788] Re: Using the touchscreen breaks normal device left clicking
I can confirm this bug, BUT for Fedora 17 x64. So it's not a distro-specific issue, the bug might be somewhere in GTK3. For me it's exactly the same as has been described here. With one important notice. NOT only Nautilus! In System Settings window, when you click on System Info and move the mouse (just move without any clicking) above the information, it's selected. And also in Torcs Car Simulator the menu items are selected with hovering (I mean I don't need to make a click at all, just to put the mouse over and that's it, the menu item opens, and it isn't a normal behaviour). It seems like the left button of the mouse is always pressed or like that. This issue is not a rule, when I restart, it's OK for a while, and I still don't know the reason of the bug's activation. First I thought because of plugging in a USB-HDD, but I'm not sure now. One more important notice. My machine is a monoblock (MSI All-In-One PC) with multitouch screen. Unfortunately I don't know how to trace the bug to see the technical details and post a reasonable bug-report. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002788 Title: Using the touchscreen breaks normal device left clicking To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1002788/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 300776] Re: Segmentation fault in Rhytmbox when returning from stand-by
Hi, There is nothing in that directory. Probably because Totem didn't crash. It only stopped outputting sound. The GUI continues to work as before but nothing happens when you try to start playback. I understand that the bug is challenging as it is intermittent (but rather frequent), and because its hard to find an Ubuntu machine on which standby actually works :-), but I don't think it is right to close the bug report unless you think this is an acceptable bug. [Bug 241862] [NEW] Unexpected abortion of program when switching between Internet radio stations
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Rhythmbox aborts when repeatedly switching between some (but not all) Internet radio stations. It happens for instance when switching between mms://wm-live.sr.se/SR- P3Svea-High and http://www.sky.fm/mp3/hit70s.pls, always when returning to the P3Svea station. Restarting the P3Svea stations without playing something else in between works fine. When starting the P3Svea channel, the player restarts the buffering several times before it actually starts to play which looks kind of odd. I know something similar has been reported earlier but the tickets seem closed. This (unfortunately :-)) works fine in the same Ubuntu version that runs on my old Intel-based laptop. The laptop doesn't exhibit the weird restart of buffering when playing the P3Svea either. So this may be hardware / architecture related. Or maybe I have managed somehow to install different codecs on the two computers? I'm running Rhythmbox 0.11.5-0ubuntu7 and all the latest updates of Ubuntu 8.04 on an AMD Phenom 9750 system.
