Also for future easiest way to report bugs is to use ubnutu-bug command. It will automaticaly collect relevant info and add to bug reports. Usage is ubuntu-bug package which has problems. In this case ubuntu-bug gdm would have worked for you. Thanks for the info Pauli about ubuntu-bug, the problem was libc6 and has been fixed with update. Thanks Pedro, I tried a new user and no sound in Klondike or freecell. Sound Preferences : VIA8237 ALSA MIXER, Ubuntu Sound Theme and I have selected PCM for Volume control. Master is at Max but PCM makes volume go up and down on this pc. All system sounds work. I also have Hardy and Ultimate Edition 2.2 and KK on a dell pc and the sound works on card games. Havent tried any other games, not much into them.
