[Bug 503101] Re: button relief problem
Sorry why can't you test it? I've already provided the sample code. I don't like the new gnome shell so I've not upgraded to 11.04. Issue still exists on Ubuntu 10.10 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-themes in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/503101 Title: button relief problem -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 503101] [NEW] button relief problem
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-themes The themes provided with Ubuntu do not adhere to the GtkReliefStyle property on GtkButtons properly. #. GTK_RELIEF_NONE When the button is drawn, the relief style appears to work, but when the mouse moves over the button, it switches back to GTK_RELIEF_NORMAL (instead of just brightening up a little perhaps?). Toggle buttons with GTK_RELIEF_NONE are even worse, they switch to and hold GTK_RELIEF_NORMAL when toggled (instead of just darkening a little?). #. GTK_RELIEF_HALF This relief style has absolutely no effect whatsoever. I'm guessing its meant to just have the soft edge around the button but no gradient curvature over the button. Here is a sample program that demonstrates relief behavior: http://en.pastebin.ca/1737827 And two screenshots taken from Ubuntu 9.10 using the default theme (human-clearlooks): 1. http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/4184/unmouse.jpg 2. http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/7656/mouseu.jpg In the 2nd screenshot, the mouse is hovering over the first button. [Bug 29368] Re: gdm locks up system in few seconds after load
I dont have the G5 anymore, but i remember that even if i booted the machine to init 3, and worked on the console, the machine would hang up, after a few mins. If you hold down a few keys together the machine freezes, if you type too fast the machine freezes, but on the native keyboard only. If u ssh into the machine, u can work on it forever without any issues. -- gdm locks up system in few seconds after load https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/29368 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 29368] gdm locks up system in few seconds after load
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/29368 Comment: Ctrl-Alt-Fn Does not work, the entire systems locks up. I havent looked at the logs, but if at boot time you set the init level to 3, it boots, and one can logon to the system, but if you type too quickly the system will lockup again, thats why i ssh into the machine and work on it from another machine (well another keybord). -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
