My keyboard is working properly. I have laptop and external keyboard. Both work
fine. What is not working is the control for switching the languages.
Switching to Russian for example changes the icon, but when I start typing, I
still type in English.

Here is the result of execution of "gnome-settings-daemon --replace"

user.

such file or directory

Hello,
It seems the new language switching control in Ubuntu 13.10 does not
work on my machine. I have set three languages, but switching among them
just doesn't work - I can write only in English.
See the attached screenshot.
