This bug has been fixed for me in Karmic, with file-roller 2.26.1. Can
anyone else confirm this?

[Bug 373209] Re: Saved screenshot doesn't appears until user edits file

2009-05-13 Thread davideotape
Hi KOT, thank you for taking the time to report this bug, and for
helping to make Ubuntu better. Your report did not specify an associated
package, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the
proper developers. (You can learn more about how to find the right
package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage.) I have
classified this as a bug in gnome-utils

For future reference, you might be interested to know that a lot of
applications have bug-reporting functionality built into them. This is
typically accessible via the Report a Problem option in the Help menu
for the relevant application. (You can learn more about this feature at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.)

I have tried this out, and can reproduce it on 9.10

[Bug 371230] [NEW] Screensaver should detect when you are watching a fullscreen flash player

2009-05-03 Thread davideotape
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

Whilst watching the BBC iPlayer in full screen, I was interrupted by my
screen saver because I hadn't moved the mouse or touched the keyboard
for over 5 minutes.. This behavior is entirely normal, and should not
bring up the screen saver. So, there should be a way of gnome-
screensaver detecting whether you are using a full screen flash player,
and disable the screen saver when this is the case. This works whatever
the time frame for screen saver activation.
