Wouter I believe this is one of those bugs that simply can't be fixed currently. Because the cdrom is mounted (almost virtually as I uderstand it). [Bug 83117] totem does change title on streaming media
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem I like streamtuner. So I install each time I test a new version of Ubuntu. As it's default it calls for xmms. I don't particularly want extra audio players on my machine so I change this to totem. However in xmms the title of the playing track changes when a new track start, however in totem this doesn't happen. Steps to recreate: 1. Install streamtuner/xmms. 2. using streamtuners default note the changing song titles. 3. change the default setting in properties on streamtuner so it reads as totem %q instead of xmms %q 4. hit the play button on streamtuner again and note that the song title doesn't change. The only reason I am marking this as a bug is because I believe this to be something that would be expected from any player on any other os. Okay reading through the rhythmbox info and help. The only way you can create a playlist and therefore play the audio is by selecting a track from the library or audio source. [Bug 74261] Re: Show Disc Number next to Album (if exists)
Sorry Kristoffer I have to agree with the below. There is no stipulation on how small a feature is but it needs to go to a different team otherwise it will never get added. Please read the below message and send your spec to the link, where the devs can actually receive it and act accordingly. Thanks for your report. Your idea might get more attention and have the possibility of being implemented if you would submit a specification for this. You should first check whether it already exists at the Ubuntu specs page (https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+specs) in Launchpad. [Bug 70096] the gimp will not let me select my printer it is not listed
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gimp I am running edgy 64bit ubuntu and I have a hp PSC-1215 running on the PSC-1200 hplip default driver perfectly. I went to print when using the Gimp and it turns out that I can't select my printer from the drop down box nor can add it, as gimpprint printers are the only ones listed of which mine is not one. This means I have a really powerful image editor that can't print. ** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- the gimp will not let me select my printer it is not listed https://launchpad.net/bugs/70096 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 68924] Inability to rename Mp3 player in Ubuntu...
Public bug reported: My old MP3MAN 1/2 gig mp3 player is able to be renamed in Windows but not in Ubuntu. I'm not sure if this is something that all players can do but it is something that could be well worth looking into (as I don't have a windows machine my mate renamed mine and I have a new samsung player now, for it's ogg support). Effectively in windows you right click on the player icon and hit rename and the player retains that name when you plug into any machine (I will send a screen shot) so mine now says DAVES MP3 rather than mp3man. This is not an urgent bug by any means but it is one thing I noticed that can't yet be done. I want to see bug 1 stripped out as soon as possible but it is always the little things that annoy people. ** Affects: gnome-volume-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Inability to rename Mp3 player in Ubuntu... https://launchpad.net/bugs/68924 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 65254] Request/bug about login screens.
Public bug reported: Many windows users are used to clicking on an icon in order to type in their password to login to their machine.(the bug) I therefore would like to request an official Ubuntu login screen with browser. The only one currently available by default is Happy Gnome with Browser which is not in keeping with Ubuntu's nice new caramel look so doesn't lend itself much to Ubuntu.(the other bug) Is there any chance that with Edgy+1 this could be remedied as I believe it would lend itself better to windows users who wish to switch. It is a small point in an otherwise near perfect Distro but I believe it is one that could win over new users, the more familiar they are with the look of the OS the more likely they are to switch, but I could be wrong. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Request/bug about login screens. https://launchpad.net/bugs/65254 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 59781] When placing 1 item in the trash it shows up as 2
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: trashapplet Every time I sent something to trash it states there are 2 items in the can. If you double click / ls -al the can, it shows the one item you put in. When you empty the can there are no items. [Bug 37727] See Ubuntu in examples
Public bug reported: Affects: epiphany-browser (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: I have noticed a bug in the 64bit examples on the Live Cd of flight 6. I understand that Firefox is favoured but on the oo-presenting-ubuntu.odp epiphany is seen in the Internet list in applications, however in reality on the Live cd it isn't there. I feel this is misleading for new users who have never used ubuntu or linux. I believe if it is in the examples then it needs to be installed by default on both the Live cd and the Install cd or removed from the .odp demo. This is purely for asthetical reasons if I were to show the demo and talk on it and the the first slide that shows the appications list I have to explain that Epiphany isn't installed by default so ignore it, it doesn't look good on Ubuntu, which is what I believe the spit and polish extra time is for. -- See Ubuntu in examples https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37727 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
