Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
Whenever I try to start nautilus the desktop freezes. I have tried: #Control/alt/backspace to restart. #sudo Apt-get remove nautilus #Then re-install nautilus. #sudo nautilus Gives me: Initializing gnome-mount extension (nautilus:733: libgnomevfs-WARNING **: Cannot load module `/usr/lib /gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libmapping.so' (/usr/lib/gnome- vfs-2.0/modules/libmapping.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory) (nautilus:733: libgnomevfs-WARNING **: Cannot load module `/usr/lib /gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libmapping.so' (/usr/lib/gnome- vfs-2.0/modules/libmapping.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory) #Then I did: sudo apt-get --purge remove libmapping.so sudo apt-get install libmapping.so #and libmapping.so could not be found. So I decided to Remove nautilus-cd burner and then re-install it. Still no response from nautilus. end. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- nautilus will not respond https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134931 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
