[Bug 590436] Re: random crashes (seg fault) when deleting files from NFS
Yes, same problem with standard kernel. I have not found the way to add apport information to an existing bug except from the summary search, but this search fails, saying it's taking too long. Then I've just created a new bug: # 590896. [Bug 590436] [NEW] random crashes (seg fault) when deleting files from NFS
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus From time to time (sometimes multiple times in a raw), Nautilus crashed when deleting files from a NFS folder. I do not know how to get more information (no more information when starting Natulius from a terminal), but I can see errors with dmesg, like [ 1236.135826] nautilus[4347]: segfault at 18 ip 004cf79e sp 7fffcddf1d10 error 4 in nautilus[40+1b6000]. The behaviour is totally reproducible: select multiple files, delete them and sometimes Nautilus crashes, always at the end of the on-going processing (files have been actually deleted). Same problem with NFS3 or NFS4 shares. The client (my ubuntu 10.04 for which I'm filling this bug) is the only client. Same problem with NFS share mount with auto.fs or manually. Same for me (10.04): each time I insert an audio CD, Disk Mounter applet shows two identical icons, with different behaviour attached though. -- double mount of audio cds https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368627 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 365793] Re: calendar causes evolution to crash
OK, it works actually: I've rebooted since... It seems that at least restarting the session was needed. [Bug 365793] Re: calendar causes evolution to crash
Hello, Same problem here (on 9.04, up-to-date) . But the fix apparently is not working for me. The installed version of libical0 is 0.43-2ubuntu1. Is that the correct one? -- calendar causes evolution to crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/365793 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 365793] Re: calendar causes evolution to crash
OK, this https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libical/+bug/368508 contains the information I was looking for. Version 0.43-2ubuntu1 is the correct one. Still, it does not work. Should I reset something in evolution so that it takes a new (good) start? -- calendar causes evolution to crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/365793 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 139748] Re: poor handling of eSATA drives
Definitely. The proposed solution would be ideal IMO. [Bug 139748] Re: poor handling of eSATA drives
I can confirm this on 7.04 and 7.10beta (for scenario 2). My drive is in a SATA caddy (SATA2 controller/AHCI). When pluuged, the event shows up in hal (using 'lshal -m'), but it seems that gnome-volume-manager simply ignores it. The drive is listed in fstab (based on UID) and if I type in mount /media/backup, the drive gets mounted OK and the icon appears on the desktop. I can then umount the drive using the right-click action. In other words, only automatic mount step seems broken. -- poor handling of eSATA drives https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139748 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-volume-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
