Sorry for the delay. I reopen this issue because the defect is still visible (I'm using 8.04.1). With the 3D desktop effect disabled: - It's still happening with Gnome and KDE 3.x - It's not happening with KDE 4.x - On Xfce, it's happening only when dropping the icon!? The Ubuntu artwork team

On my side I'm still able to reproduce the problem but only using the desktop without any 3D effect. The glitch is smoother now but still appears. Have a look at the newly attached file. If I use the desktop effects everything works well. ** Attachment added: icon_glitch.png
