Confirmed F10 issue with gnome-terminal. Can't really use htop settings
as F10 is bound to terminal

terminal edit->preferences->general (uncheck) enable the menu accelerator key
(F10 by default)
This solve the issue

[Bug 1787867] [NEW] Ubuntu 18.04 LTS bluetooth left discoverable

2018-08-19 Thread jowfdoijdfdwfwdf
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, when Bluetooth is on, the computer stays discoverable
which opens up unnecessary vulnerability surface. There should be a
separate UI switch for discoverability with auto timeout. Leaving
bluetooth on (using a Bluetooth mouse) should not leave the computer
always discoverable.

Current behavior does not match documentation
https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/bluetooth-visibility.html.en,
even without Bluetooth panel open, the computer is still discoverable.

It also affects PNG files. 14.1MB 16000x14000 PNG file, no thumbnail,
image viewer shows all black. Other applications can open the image just
fine including browsers.

[Bug 1668771] [NEW] systemd-resolved negative caching for extended period of time

2017-02-28 Thread jowfdoijdfdwfwdf
Public bug reported:

231-9ubuntu3

If a DNS lookup returns SERVFAIL, systemd-resolved seems to cache the
result for very long (infinity?). I have to restart systemd-resolved to
have the negative caching purged.

After SERVFAIL DNS server issue has been resolved, chromium/firefox
still returns DNS error despite host can correctly resolve the name.

[Bug 1579712] Re: Refresh hangs due to strdup on non-NULL terminated string

2016-05-19 Thread jowfdoijdfdwfwdf
My bad. I forgot to install libappstream3_0.9.4-1ubuntu1_amd64.deb

installing libappstream3_0.9.4-1ubuntu1_amd64.deb wtih dpkg first did
fix the problem. I think I was using gdebi. Does this bug break gdebi
somehow?
