writer the evolution process starts but does not send anything and not
opening the application by doing so it forces me to shut down the
process and restart it manually.

I have same problems.
When access to windows 2003 server with smb://win2003server I can't see shares,
but if I try to acces my ubuntu it shows shares example, smb://localhost.
Instead if I try to access some share with smb://win2003server/share it shows

iv'e downgraded the gvfs* from the proposed repo's back to normal ones
now i can enter this share but i get a blank page (see atachment)
