@Chris. Yes, the bug is that gnome-terminal, and I supposed other fonconfig-based apps in Gnome3(?), don't allow the selection of the correct font. [Bug 1014385] [NEW] Can't select misc-fixed-semicondensed aka 6x13 font
Public bug reported: When I change to 70-yes-bitmaps-fonts and update, I still can't chose the correct font in gnome terminal. Fixed shows up, but I get the normal typeface instead of the semicondensed that I desire. There's no way to select that particular weight (only bold aso). As I live in the terminal and find it well nigh unusable without 6x13, this is a bit of a dealbreaker.
