[Bug 310867] Re: After several hibernating the weather next to the system clock won't work anymore

2009-03-24 Thread launcspad
Sorry, I don't know if that's still an issue in Jaunty, but I will tell
it, when it will be released. I also stopped using hibernation, so I
don't even know if this bug still exists.

[Bug 317819] Re: Evolution shows false unread messages in folder

2009-01-20 Thread launcspad
My pleasure. I was using POP3, and I can not test, what you advised any
more. But I remember that the false number was equal to the fresh
downloaded and by filter trashed mails' number. So this number has
always changed, when I recieved 34 mails, which have been moved to the
trash by the filter, the false number was 34. Next time when only 7
mails hit the filter, 7 was the number.

Unfortunatelly I stopped using Evolution, as it cannot handle huge
mailboxes. I have mails more than 2,5 GB, and the indexing slows down
the program.

I would also think the same, but pasting into this website a from another

But I agree, this is not an important bug, google services shouldn't be used.

[Bug 316032] Re: Power saving: screen gets darker unwanted

2009-01-12 Thread launcspad
The button was unselected. (I'm not a newcomer.)

And the way, the screen was darken, was not the same like selecting this
option. It has got dark slowly, and after a while it was light again.
This happened only when I used battery, the bug does not appear using power
cable. After a reboot the screen starts light, that's why I think, this is not
a hardware error.
Does the brightness of the screen have a variable to follow up its state?

[Bug 305163] [NEW] Evolution crashes when opening a HTML attachment of a huge HTML mail

2008-12-04 Thread launcspad
Public bug reported:

To remake the problem, try this. (Evolution 2.24.2, Ubuntu 8.10.)

1. Compose a new html mail and insert a huge text. (I tried with the inserted
one here, see below.)
2. Add html atachments. (I tried with the attached ones, with all, no archived,
just the pure files.)
3. Send the mail.
4. Try to open the attachment in the sent mail. Evolution just closes.

[Bug 301249] [NEW] gedit freezes when opening big text file

Public bug reported:

When I try to open it with gedit, it starts and becomes gray, the hdd is
working only. Does it perhaps analyse the WHOLE file for the encoding?

[Bug 292594] Re: the user interface is not displayed while it seems to be downloading

Where shall I comment? Here or at gnome.org?

I'm pretty sure, the problem is about indexing huge mailboxes. Renaming
~/.evolution solves the problem: GUI appears as normal. I think, the

[Bug 292594] Re: the user interface is not displayed while it seems to be downloading

2008-11-05 Thread launcspad
Yes, it is indexer bug.

After starting, two file will be modified:
Inbox.ibex.index
Inbox.ibex.index.data

Removing them won't solve the problem.

Renaming Inbox solves the problem: appwindow appears.

At first run the program asked if I want to upgrade to the new indexer
(or there were a dialog box of the new indexer), and it started
indexing. At second run it didn't show the window.

UPDATE: It is not a POP-problem, I switched off the POP feature in my

indexing system. I have 1,5 + 1 GB mails in two folders perhaps the new
indexer cannot handle so huge amount.

[Bug 292594] [NEW] Evolution does starts hidden, without GUI

Public bug reported:

I upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 and I get the brand new Evolution. When I start it,
it remains hidden. Perhaps because of the 1 GB mail I started to POP-download.

[Bug 191889] Re: [MASTER] [WORKAROUND] Offline Mode feature fails to detect proper online state for networks that are managed outside of network manager.

2008-07-17 Thread launcspad
I think this is not a firefox-bug as more online softwer have this
error. (Such Pidgin, Evolution.)

Skype, Hálózatfigyelő (network usage icon) and Weather forecast in
the panel-add-on menu recognizes if I'm online.

In my network manager icon I always see an orange triangle with ! in
the middle, independet of I'm connected or not.

I use Hungarian Vodafone HSDPA with Huaweii E220 USB modem, Ubuntu 8.04
and Firefox 3.

[Bug 191889] Re: [MASTER] [WORKAROUND] Offline Mode feature fails to detect proper online state for networks that are managed outside of network manager.

2008-07-15 Thread launcspad
Firefox 3 AND Evolution AND Pidgin starts offline. No, Pidgin is looking
for a connection. What I have to do is to disconnect and connect again
(Pidgin). At Firefox (and Evolution) the File - uncheck Work offline
solves the problem.

Firefox 2 did not have this problem.

I use HSDPA USB modem. When connected via LAN, no problem, everything is
online.

Skype recognizes the Internet correctly independent of the connection
type. (Altough I don't like this program.)

Sorry, I'm not patient enough to flick trough the whole conversation. If
someone has a quick solution, please show me!

[Bug 227709] [NEW] Item order changed on top panel and unable to reorder manually

2008-05-07 Thread launcspad
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Once I started my computer, the items appeared in wrong order (see
attached image). I don't know why it happened. Now I wanted to reorder
manually but unable to move the leftmost buttons to the right area. (Oh
yes, it works now: I unclicked the 'lock to panel' local menu items.)

However it's very hard to manage the panels, items can only be moved one
by one. Is there a panel manager utility?
