[Bug 1240336] Re: Not authorized to perform operation / Unable to determine the session we are in: No session for pid
I have this problem after an update from 13.04 to 13.10 on an 32bit system. It does not work: - SD-cards - USB disks - 3D-acceleration (Intel card) but if root login auto-mount does work I login through mdm (mint petra) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1240336 Title: Not authorized to perform operation / Unable to determine the session we are in: No session for pid To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm/+bug/1240336/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 960892] Re: gnome-terminal goest to black, all slow
solved with new upgrades to Precise P Sorry for time wasting D. ** Changed in: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Description changed: amd 64 3.2.0-18-generic - latest nvidia (not ubuntu packed) - I don't know if it is a gnome-terminal generated bug, + I don't know if it is a gnome-terminal generated bug, but after a partial upgrade to oneiric the gnome-session is loading very slow after login, and the backscreen of gnome terminal is black (I can't see anything of what I'm writing but it goes) and also the two gnome-panel like (I'm using gnome classic instead of unity) are black covered. The pc is slow and the first moving of the gnome-terminal windows was crappy (later was a bit better). Only glxgears goes really (50%) faster (so I don't know if it's a bug ;-) ). [Bug 610422] Re: Nautilus has 100% CPU Usage since Kernel Upgrade in Lucid
Hi, all this very boring bug affects me too. Same lucid-amd64 (on 32 bit version on other machine did'nt happen) kernel 2.6.31-15-generic, nvidia nVidia Corporation G86 [GeForce 8400M GS] (rev a1), NVIDIA Driver Version 195.36.24 On my computer seems related more with Xorg or virtualfs than the version of the kernel . Actually it comes on very often logging in a user with an encripted (luks) homedir. Few days ago, after an upgrade regarding gnome libs too, seemed going better (minor frequence) but now i get it again. Lately it appeared using an old game dosbox (xorg jammed and soon xorg e nautilus cpu-usage rocketed up an finally i get a 103% cpu usage for nautilus) . When it happens make computer really useles and stays so endless and i have to reboot. wich kind of log may I send to help debugging? [Bug 610422] Re: Nautilus has 100% CPU Usage since Kernel Upgrade in Lucid
Hi, a last add-on when this bug occurs i have always also a window with gnome-terminal open an a firefox (a-browser) too. The latter (very crappy ) one often suffers in execution of hidden scripts that I suspect may be related with this behavior. when overhelming usage (cpu or memory, see later) issue occurs disk remain always furiously spinning. In the last event cpu-usage was low but memory usage veri high more than 90% (as top states). Again, kind regards D. -- Nautilus has 100% CPU Usage since Kernel Upgrade in Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/610422 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
