Very odd that in karmic it seems to work. Maybe it is something specific
to my setup, but I cannot imagine that, because 'everything' except RB
seems to work with gfvs. I'll do a couple of more tests, to other samba-
shares on another server maybe.

area (point) should do the trick. Then it is clear for the user that the

OK, tried it on the photo attached. Red eye removal does not work there.
Sure, the eyes are not ezxactly red (more white) but then again, this is
an effect from the flash I would like to remove. Maybe (as you
suggested) the algorithm is to precise.

a selection. I *thought* I should make a selection, because the label on
the right upper side says 'Selection'. As it turns out, this is a
position and not a selection (should have 4 points and not just 2).

Currently, my real problem seams to be this: I cannot open a (bash) file
with gedit through Nautilus.
First try: double click. Because Nautilus has no knowledge about the

Binary package hint: nautilus
A bash file browsed with Nautilus over SSH does not show the correct
file type. Opening the bash file is not possible, see screenshot-"Error:
no suitable application.png".
When copying the file over to home, the bash files shows the correct
file

When saving a file on a samba share, gedit displays a warning (see attachment).
After the warning, the file is saved wihout a problem. This happens only when
the share is mounted through the mount command.
When saving the same file through gnome-
I'm a bit disappointed. The upstream bug is from may 2005 and also this bug is
classified as wishlist meaning it has a very low priority (lowest?). We are
talking about useability (people switching over from Windows for example) where
it is expected these things just work.
Altogether, this means

When there is a menu active (visible), pushing 'Print Screen' does not have
any effect. 'Alt Print Screen' does not work also.
Allt menu types have the same effect: top menu, context (right click) menu.

When Nauilus is operated with a treeview in the left pane, it is
possible to copy a folder with the right-click menu, command 'Edit'.
This folder can than be pasted anywhere where desired. However, this
same copy operation is NOT possible through
