[Bug 1929650] Re: Screen doesn't turn off when using Wayland on a Thinkpad E480

2021-06-23 Thread mx80
Same problem on Asus Zenbook 14/Ubuntu 21.04. Backlight stays on even in
Suspend mode. Did not have that problem with 20.04

[Bug 1385794] [NEW] [Asus UX31E] Ubuntu 14.10 fails to hibernate on empty battery

2014-10-25 Thread mx80
Public bug reported:

When the batter charge as reported by upower goes to 0 Wh the system
should hibernate. It doesn't. Instead it keeps running, and eventually
the machine powers down. At the time the charge reaches 0 Wh, the
indicator in the notification area goes away.

Happens only when set to hibernate on critically low battery; if set to
shut down, it does.

[Bug 212837] Re: [Hardy] gnome-volume-properties should also manage CDs

2008-04-08 Thread mx80
Another way to see this: the menu entry is misleading: it doesn't deal
with any drives, but with Media and Devices (mouses, printers!)

[Bug 101845] Re: Automounted Volumes mount points change

2008-04-08 Thread mx80
I have this problem with USB drives, but also with local harddrives not
in /etc/fstab. They are remounted as /media/disk-1, /media/disk-2, etc.
whenever I select them from the Places menu.

[Bug 101845] Re: Automounted Volumes mount points change

2008-04-08 Thread mx80
I'm pretty sure this got better with today's updates, and I can't
reproduce it by mounting/unmounting the USB drive.

But it's still not deleting the mount points on system shutdown. So
every time I restart with a USB drive mounted, it's mounted at a
different mount point after boot.

[Bug 213615] [NEW] Send to email addresses broken

2008-04-07 Thread mx80
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Nautilus on Hardy Heron (8.04 beta)

The context menu send-to function allows you to choose a recipient from
the evolution address book. it lists names as last name, first name
email. When you select a recipient, Nautilus opens a new message
window in evolution, with the file attached and the To: line filled in.

Actual result: the to line contains

Lastname, Firstname email address

Evolution will try to send to two recipients: Lastname, and Firstname
Email Address

Expected result:

Firstname Lastname email address

or

Lastname, Firstname email address
