@madbiologist: Sigh, today, after updating to latest daily, no sound. A
dialog says 'Waiting for Sound System to respond (transl.) and nothing;
a coffee and still nothing.
I've run through http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=205449 and

@Cyrus Harmon: I think all involved concur on 48kHz audio being a
distinct problem in gstreamer0.10. Audio at 44kHz and lower, not a
problem. I believe madbiologist is looking at this issue, when time
given. This issue surfaced as a problem in Ubuntu 9.10.

Yo! Fluent audio and video, no hiccups at all, right-up until the 75
percentish mark, where it stopped downloading in Firefox for Ubuntu
Canonical 1.0. OMG, you guys really got a keep an eye on Ubuntu-
acronyms... ;)
Quality slightly lessened, not much, but notable.

@Daniel T Chen. Off-topic about Pulse Audio not playing: Assuming you're
the guy for this, could you check if the audio sink is okay in my

@madbiologist: Creating the attached pulse audio logfile 'verbose.log'
-- according to reply #7 instructions...
Please use: pacmd set-log-level 4
then: paplay /path/to/filename
then: grep pulseaudio\\[ /var/log/user.log ~/verbose.log
Please then attach ~/verbose.log to this bug report.

Okey, I'll check it, but it's a h264.mp4 video stream so I'll have to
twiddle the file or find something comparable at 48000 Hz. Expect answer
