[Bug 1724557] Re: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in meta_logical_monitor_get_scale()
On the Skull Canyon NUC I'm currently at the versions are: libmutter 3.26.1-2ubuntu1 and gnome-shell 3.26.1-0ubuntu4. I have a _usr_bin_gnome-shell.1001.crash, but it's quite large even after compressing it. I'll see if launchpad will accept the file. ** Attachment added: "Freshly generated gnome-shell crash file after switching screen off and on" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1724557/+attachment/4981367/+files/_usr_bin_gnome-shell.1001.zip -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1724557 Title: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in meta_logical_monitor_get_scale() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mutter/+bug/1724557/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Now when I switch my display back on again, I see my desktop and open windows for a short while, and then am immediately kicked out of the session. Before the entire desktop would die, now I'm just back at user select screen. On two separate systems. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1717170 Title: gnome-shell crashes with SIGABRT: mutter:ERROR:backends/meta-monitor- manager.c:2274:meta_monitor_manager_get_logical_monitor_from_number: assertion failed: ((unsigned int) number < g_list_length (manager->logical_monitors)) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1717170/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1724557] Re: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in meta_logical_monitor_get_scale()
I believe I'm plagued by the same bug (also followed bug 1717170, and posted on bugzilla). However, now I don't get a full crash, but a session kick-out. This issue happens on two separate Intel NUC setups, both connected to a 4K TV with a displayport->hdmi2.0 -adapter (the other one from Club3D, the other a built in adapter in Intel Skull Canyon NUC. But all in all, this is now forcing me to suspend my computers before switching off the displays, otherwise my entire desktop is lost. I can't understand how this is not more common, however. An extremely annoying issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1724557 Title: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in meta_logical_monitor_get_scale() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1724557/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
