[Bug 1201180] Re: Pressing power button turns off the PC ignoring the presence of another session manager

2014-03-17 Thread rubik-cube
I can confirm the bug in Kubuntu 13.10, the attached patch works for me.
(The trouble seems to be that /usr/bin/qdbus links to /usr/bin/qtchooser
which does not seem to work as expected.)

[Bug 1004515] Re: segfault in accounts-daemon when logging in

2012-09-28 Thread rubik-cube
I can confirm this segfault on 12.04:

For some users on trying to log in, these lines appear in
/var/log/syslog:

Sep 28 11:25:02 smaxx04 automount[]: syntax error in nsswitch config near [
syntax error ]
Sep 28 11:25:10 automount[]: last message repeated 2 times
Sep 28 11:25:10 smaxx04 kernel: [ 8321.988293] accounts-daemon[2820]: segfault
at 20 ip 7f93f75f2c30 sp 74022e28 error 4 in
libdbus-1.so.3.5.8[7f93f75d+42000]
Sep 28 11:25:10 smaxx04 kernel: [ 8321.988519] gdm-session-wor[3185]: segfault

libc-2.15.so[7f99b48e+1b3000]

gdm then hangs on the password entry stage, it can only be set back to
the login screen by 'service gdm restart'. It should probably be noted
that this only happens for some users and some of the time. The home
directories are automounted via NFS, authentication is provided over
LDAP, afaik.

/var/crash is empty by the way, with enabled=1 in /etc/default/apport

[Bug 53345] Can confirm this

2006-07-21 Thread rubik-cube
I also can confirm this on a fully updated Dapper, gimp
2.2.11-1ubuntu3.1, gtk+ 2.8.18-0ubuntu2. None of the non-ubuntu-people
on #gimp could reproduce this, though some ubuntu users could.
