then in gnome shell, I get a very scaled up interface that is completely

Even the mouse cursor size is like 1/4 of the screen's size

the LG Flatron L1918S monitor, but it is still wrongly identified as
Goldstar Company Ltd in the Monitor Preferences dialog.

Would be great to be able to use my Spotify account within Rhythmbox.
It could be easy using libspotify (recently published by the spotify
people) or by using despotify (an inverse engineered one).
