I am having the same problem and after blowing nearly 400 dollars of my
allowance on networking gear and bankrupting myself in the process only
to find out that linux is a turd when it comes to file sharing is really
ticking me off!
Fuck linux it's a bullshit os for wieners!

I get that error everytime I try to access my workgroup. My Lucid
machine doen't show up om any of my other workgroup computers.

that fix did not work, I created a smbusers file and put ozzie = ozzie.
I always run sudo smbpasswd -a ozzie when I setup samba.

There is a temporary work-around. Hit Alt-F2, typr nautilus
smb://whatever the IP is for a machine/, then bookmark that location.
This will suffice for me until the bug is fixed.

I upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and I go tp places| network and see my
windows box, I click on it and it says 0 folders found in the status
bar. I can see all my shared drives in Ubuntu 7.10, and can access my
8.04 drives from Windows, I use
