[Bug 1174184] [NEW] Ethernet is not working when laptop is on battery power
Public bug reported: Ethernet network connection stopped to work when notebook is running on battery power on my Lenovo T430s notebook after the upgrade from 12.10 to 13.04. Ethernet network connection becomes available immediatelly when power adapter is attached. Wireless network works fine with and without power adapter attached. And it should be possible to turn off the subpixel rendering alltogether. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution At work, Internet is accessed through NTLM-authenticated proxy. Therefore, I run ntlmaps proxy and configure it in evolution. It works fine if ntlmaps proxy is run on another host (e.g. my-other- computer:5865) but doesn't work if it is run on localhost:5865. Firefox and other applications have no problem using proxy at localhost:5865. I assume this is not a problem with suspend, but rather key/event handling. Suspend works fine if I press suspend key combination (Fn+Esc) on keyboard. However, closing notebook lid always freezes the notebook and I have to switch it off the hard way (press power button and keep holding it). This bug is especially annoying when I start shutdown sequence and then close the lid before notebook is switched off. I can confirm this behavior with MS Exchange server accessed over IMAP. New messages are not shown in Evolution's INBOX. Closing evolution, removing .evolution/mail/imap/... directory and starting evolution helps - it works then for some time, e.g. half a day and then stops displaying new messages again. Looks like enabling Exchange Operation plugin inside Evolution solves the problem. I don't know why but this plugin is disabled by default.
