Could a fix please also be released for the musicbraniz packages so
rhythmbox/banshee etc can also profit from this?

[Bug 708382] Re: cannot create custom preferred applications

2011-05-07 Thread warjowuch
I still have NO option for custom commands in preffered applications?
I mean, no custom commands for mailer and browser. On the other tabs the
options are there.
I should be able to change firefox to firefox %s, without changing
config-files...

Should I switch the status back to 'unfixed' or something?

[Bug 37736] Re: Microphone bug in Ubuntu HDA_Intel

2010-05-03 Thread warjowuch
Yep, I have this problem too!
On Lucid, but also appeared on Karmic.

My microphone works only after I do the following:
I go to sound-preferences, tab Input.
I find the connector drop-downlist.
I switch to another connector and then back to the microphone (the one I
started with).

After this I can see the input-level getting active, responding to
sounds I make.

This is on Nvidia hardware though: An MCP51 onboard card on an AM2
motherboard.

[Bug 220513] [NEW] totem-xine crashes when switching to youtube from dvd

2008-04-22 Thread warjowuch
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem-xine

I was playing a dvd, when I decided to watch a youtube-video with the beautiful
youtube-plugin. So I searched, while dvd-playback was still active.
Then I double clicked on a youtube-video (dvd still playing) and my system
froze. I couldn't get to a terminal, restart X by pressing cntrl-alt-backspace.
Quite a crash.

Also, I experienced more crashes when using the youtube-plugin in totem-
xine, but they where less severe. THey appeared when only opening totem
- searching youtube - double clicking a video.

Maybe these bugs have something to do with the fact that they appeared
the first boot after upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04 RC. The system seemed
more stable after another reboot. But I can't imagine why, so I still
decided to file this bugreport.

[Bug 70023] Re: Cannot print multiple copies of PDF files

2007-11-20 Thread warjowuch
This is also the case with documents from OpenOffice.org. If I try to
print multiple copies from writer, it prints what is set in the printer-
settings from 'system-admin-printing'. I will make a separate bug for
this, because it does not seem to be due to evince, but more of a common
Gnome-print problem.

those are likely launchers without icon, do you still get the bug
without them? Do you have steps to trigger it?

Re: [Bug 99481] Re: gnome-panel has invisible wall for moving program shortcuts

2007-04-19 Thread warjowuch
Sorry, I don't know how I did this. But maybe I found that there where
invisible broken buttons in the panel which prevented the other buttons
from moving around. A few days ago, there where a few old buttons, huge
white icons with a red cross through it. Maybe those where the reason
why it did occur. But still it is weird en unnessecary behaviour to me.

LIkely an upstream bug. Having steps to trigger the bug would be nice to
work on it though

[Bug 99481] Re: gnome-panel has invisible wall for moving program shortcuts

2007-04-04 Thread warjowuch
I use feisty beta,
the bug seemed to appear when I manually created a shortcut for dosbox, but I
cannot imagine this should do something significant to make up this issue...
I threw away my whole panel-config before this issue appeared, so I am sure I
had a clean config.
THanks!

[Bug 99481] gnome-panel has invisible wall for moving program shortcuts

2007-03-31 Thread warjowuch
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I have encountered a weird inability to move my program icons in the
upper gnome-panel. At least, certain icons don't move past a certain
point. This is not a locked icon or so, it seems to be an invisible part
of the panel. Still, while I just click 'hold (drag) the icon, it is
partly moveable. But right-click 'move' it does not work (is for me a
better method to move these things around as it indicates better where
it goes).

My panel is 28 pixels high and 1050 pixels wide, the problem occurs
around 1/3 of the width from the left side.

Re: [Bug 54127] Re: Certain windows steal focus

2006-11-03 Thread warjowuch
Hi There,
Well, as I may believe a friend of mine, in KDE this is not the case. But well,
he does not use gaim. It's also when I start an application and decide to go on
working with a still open application window (e.g. working with firefox,
wanting to search something in synaptic, opening synaptic, but in the meantime
working on firefox. Then I don't mean that the 'administrator' window is
stealing, but after that, the syn.-window must still load, when in that time, I
go back to firefox, synaptic still hovers over. As does firefox when I am
wrking in thunderbird) it steals focus.

Thanks for your reaction, I will look on bugs.winehq.org!

This is known upstream with Gaim. Have no idea with regards to Wine and
the wine-systemtray.

At the moment, Metacity deals with this as best as it can, but is
limited by the way that the individual applications demand attention.

Feel free to give a more detailed bug report upstream:

[Bug 54127] Certain windows steal focus

2006-07-26 Thread warjowuch
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: metacity

Hi there,
When I am watching a fullscreen movie or so, and I receive an instant message,
or an email in Wine/Eudora, this pops up a window, but it steals my focus from
the movie I was watching...
This also happens in other applications. I think it should not steal focus from
fullscreen apps. Also the wine-systemtray continuesly steals focus, this is
also irritating in all apps.
