[Bug 1827582] [NEW] LUKS passphrase input dialog non dismissable if USB key plugged-in while screen is locked
Public bug reported: 1. Lock your session with Meta+L 2. Plug in a USB key/disk with a LUKS partition 3. Log in as usual with your password Then your desktop is overlayed with the LUKS passphrase input dialog Bug: - It is not dismissable, meaning clicking Cancel does nothing and dialog stays over all the desktop, and you can't do anything. - Possibly, entering the passphrase might not work either. not tested here. - You can only Lock again your session with Meta+L and relogin ... Only reproduced so far on Ubuntu 18.10 and 19.04. [Bug 1771187] Re: gnome-keyring ask my ssh key password a certain number of times before accepting it
This seems to work better lately, i.e. only one "password typing" is needed now. Has this been fixed silently ? Has an update fixed the problem ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1771187 Title: gnome-keyring ask my ssh key password a certain number of times before accepting it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-keyring/+bug/1771187/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1771187] [NEW] gnome-keyring ask my ssh key password a certain number of times before accepting it
Public bug reported: Since I installed ubuntu 18.04 (a fresh install), I have issue when connecting to a ssh server the first time. I am asked my ssh password key by gnome-keyring (full screen dialog) and I need to type it 3 or 4 or 5 times (more or less, it seems random) my password before it works. Meaning the dialog keep poping up asking my password while I am pretty I have not mistyped it. It works the first time without problem when I use ssh-add in the terminal. I can repeat this by doing ssh-add -D and then try to ssh again and it asks for my ssh key password and I have to type it a certain number of times before it is accepted. Tested in archlinux gnome 3.28 and this works without problem. [Bug 1770393] [NEW] text input overflow graphically input field
Public bug reported: When configuring my wifi connection, I was asked to enter my passphrase in a dialog input field (full screen dialog). I pasted (with middle click mouse) my 63 characters passphrase and it overflows the input field in the idalog Best to see it in the screenshot. I reported this upstream at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome- shell/issues/259 But as I have checked that I can't reproduce this in archlinux, I was said it is certainly an ubuntu bug. This happens also in Alt-f2 dialog for example when you type a long text. See gitlab comments. [Bug 1439445] Re: systemd-fsck laps 30s on boot for /dev/mapper/home
the RTC clock was kept in UTC. This gave a wrong time at boot, and possibly shoke fsck about a superblock in the future. Once I changed UTC to yes in /etc/default/rcS, I was able to remove the fsck.mode=skip as they were no more 30s delay during boot.
