Hmm.. I now see that the issue is present in 17.10 too, so it's probably due to something else but the latest IBus changes which affected Ctrl+Shift+U. I also see that some extended characters work. For instance, the letters å, ä and ö, which are in the Swedish alphabet, work for me. Weird. -- Y
