Thank you for your bug report, that's a known issue in the gio backend, there is http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=526190 upstream about it. There is also a GTK patch upstream porting the gtk fileselector directly to gio which will fix this issue but that's not likely something that will

I can confirm this. I also get no Icon .doc files. This seems to be true for any files that don't have a preview. Steps to repeat. 1. Open a gnome application which uses Gtk File Chooser such as gedit. 2. Select File open. 3. Browse to various directory and see that now icon is displayed for
