Please note that once the file is successfully saved (that is, has been assigned a file name) further saves work fine. Happens to me too. Ubuntu 6.06 Beta 2/AMD64. 1) I can't save new unsaved files 2) I can't save as... or save copy... after opening a document I think this is a blocker.
