I can also confirm the same issue after moving to 12.10. Empathy is
3.6.0.3 and every time I reboot google talk needs authorization. I added
debug logs - i also added my FB account during this session.

I have Ubuntu 12.10 with Empathy 3.6.0.3. And periodically he asks to
grant access after starting to work. When i run empathy-debugger and
select gable(jabber) i can`t see any kind of error.

Well, that's interesting. Now it stores the password, but asks to grant
access several times. And then starts to work.

With the latest updates today my vk.com account cannot store the password and
Empathy keeps saying account .. requires authorization. Just before the
update it worked.
