Public bug reported: Thanks for updating alacarte - its good to be able to use it again.
System: Xubuntu 12.10_x64 Alacarte: Installed: 3.5.5-0ubuntu1.1 Candidate: 3.5.5-0ubuntu1.1 Version table: *** 3.5.5-0ubuntu1.1 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.5.5-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://mirror.team-cymru.org/ubuntu/ quantal/universe amd64 Packages Expected to happen: The ability to edit the menu catergories and place them into a desired order. What happened instead: The Wine and Electronics categories 'jumped' to the top of Applications Menu list after editing the menu with alacarte 3.5.5-0ubuntu1.1. Alacarte does not show these two categories in its editor and there is no way to move them to a new (original) position. However, the new category created ('Complex Systems') was editable and can be moved where desired. It's as if alacarte doesn't 'see' certain menu entries. ** Affects: alacarte (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: alacarte applications menu xubuntu ** Attachment added: "Applications Menu example with categories missing" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1080025/+attachment/3436473/+files/Screenshot%20-%2011172012%20-%2006%3A08%3A18%20AM.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to alacarte in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1080025 Title: alacarte changes order of menu categories To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alacarte/+bug/1080025/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
