** Description changed:
The ubuntu precise(12.04) version of the gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
(0.10.31-1ubuntu1) package has a version of the shout2send element that
is compiled with webm support disabled.
The webm support in that element is autodetected at compilation time: it is
enabled if the plugin is built against a version of libshout ≥ 2.3.1
(see
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-plugins-good/tree/ext/shout2/gstshout2.c?h=0.10#n74
)
Since precise already ships libshout 2.3.1 (libshout3_2.3.1-1ubuntu2),
- solving this issue should simply require a rebuild of the gstreamer0.10
- -plugins-good package.
+ solving this issue should simply require a control file dependency
+ update and package rebuild.
(You can check by doing 'gst-inspect shout2send', which currently gives the
following output:)
Pad Templates:
- SINK template: 'sink'
- Availability: Always
- Capabilities:
- application/ogg
- audio/mpeg
- mpegversion: 1
- layer: [ 1, 3 ]
+ SINK template: 'sink'
+ Availability: Always
+ Capabilities:
+ application/ogg
+ audio/mpeg
+ mpegversion: 1
+ layer: [ 1, 3 ]
