Hi, I have the same problem. Since I updated from edgy to feisty everytime I want th change the logged in user, the computer stops responding.
I tried the following: - Login as user1 - Try to initiat "change user" from Screensaver or from Logout Button - The screen gets black - I tried to get to the console (nothing happens) - CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE (nothing happens) I recently read about this problem in another forum. It seems that this has somehting to do with my hardware configuration. I use an ATI Radeon 9600 with the fglrx drivers. It doesn't matter if I use beryl or metacity, it seems that gdm stops responding.
