Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with
the development version of Ubuntu, Hardy Heron?
I just had exactly the same problem after enabling remote access. It
worked again once I moved the file /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom out of the
way.

Yes there is, unfortunately in swedish. Think it means something like
