g-s-d didn't know when you were on battery or power and getting confused
because of this.

well, not sure it's needed, but I can't confirm the issue here. It could
be useful to run "gnome-settings-daemon --replace --debug" and let it
idle/go to suspend and attach the log to the bug

Yes, I use Ubuntu GNOME, not stock Ubuntu. I don't even have Unity
installed but I'll try it if needed as soon as I can.
