I am using Ubuntu 14.04 localized in Romanian. In this situation
creating new document adds fără nume (means Untitled) at the end of
the file name, after the extension. So if a have a template named Text
File.txt then creating a new Text File document results in Text
File.txt fără nume with Text

- and useful name (for example, New recipe.txt). The new template

Thank you for your bug report, I can't confirm that here though.
Nautilus adds a New in front but not Untitled (e.g if I create a
buggy.txt in Templates I get a New buggy.txt created)
