I've learned to live with it... but if you can give me an idea which icon image is used I'll be happy to experiment with it and propose a suggested alternative upstream. 7.10. I've attached a screenshot - the icon is the blue monitor just to the left of the orange update notification icon. As you can see it blends easily with the other two blue monitor icons; the one to the left of the remoted connection icon is for krdc and the one to the right of it is a standard network manager icon.
