You have been subscribed to a public bug: In Gnome, delete a group of files from various places in the filesystem (or your home folder). Then go into the trash and attempt to restore them. There is no way to automatically restore each file to the location from which it was deleted. You must manually move each and every file back where you want it. Windows, KDE, and XFCE all have this capability. Only Gnome does not.
** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- cannot automatically restore files in Trash to their original folders https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135121 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
