After a bit of research, it seems like I can get some, or all of the
files moved by first selecting a file in the middle, then C-a, then
dragging the last (or first) item in the view.

Thanks for your report, I've tried to reproduce this but i can't, what i
did was: open a nautilus windows,select all the files by C-a (while the
focus is on the window), select one file and them drag them to another
place (only the file you selected appears with an icon the others files
are drawing with dots), they got moved perfectly, with list view and
icon view. not confirming for now. could be due to the arch. thanks.
