Public bug reported: Opening a lot of files, e.g. running `find . -name '*.c' -exec gedit {} +` in the linux source root causes `gedit` subprocesses to fail (`apport-gtk` dialog pops up) and `gedit` GUI to hang for > 30 minutes.
