Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
This issue has started appearing after I upgraded to Gusty Gibbon (though it may be occurring less frequently in Feisty Fawn). Whenever I am operating my (HP) laptop without the USB keyboard plugged in (and using laptops inbuilt keyboard) then after every minute or so, all the evolution windows freeze for 20-30 seconds. Though they continue to take input (e.g. if I am composing an email, the typed text entered during the frozen interval appears after the windows are unfrozen). Another interesting thing to note that is only evolution is getting affected due to this issue. Here is the output from my uname -a command, Linux lap432 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Sun Sep 23 19:50:39 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux NOTE: This may be due to a case when I boot Ubuntu with the USB keyboard plugged in, then after some time plug out the USB keyboard, put the system to standby, bring up the system from standby without the USB keyboard plugged in. After this the evolution starts to give this issue. Though I still need to confirm whether this is really causing the issue. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Evolution freezes (for half a minute) in regular intervals if laptop is running without the USB keyboard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157317 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
