Public bug reported:

I can't launch gnome terminal after upgrade to ubuntu-gnome 16.10.
Another user on this computer/OS can.

Programs like Midnight Commander and iPython also don't start.

I used xterm to execute $ubuntu-bug gnome-terminal for this report.
