Public bug reported:

When playing music with totem, the audio instantly stops when screen is
locked (without the user actually logging out, just a regular lock
screen). mplayer on the other hand doesn't suffer from this problem
ontinues playing just fine.

This is very problematic when running Linux on portable handhelds (do
you ever not lock your phone when listening to music on the run with the
phone in your pocket?) and I can't see any immediate benefit for this
behavior on a regular PC either, so I suggest it is changed/fixed.
