There would at least be room in the restart/shutdown/cancel dialog you
get after choosing the rightmost icon from that menu.

One tricky part about the GNOME Shell design is that there isn't really
room for another icon in the bottom row of the system status menu. See
the attached screenshot.
The second icon is a lock-rotation toggle switch for supported
convertible laptops with an orientation sensor.
