Public bug reported: On newly set up 17.10 I tried updating, I tried installing updates, restarting, still no terminal at all. I can't install another terminal because event Ctrl+Alt+Fn key is completely useless in the livecd mode as I don't know the username/password. This makes the first step in debugging and getting actual work done completely broken!
