Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at

I doubt that the keyboard shortcut feature is designed to work with a
single character as the shortcut. Try to involve some modifier key, e.g.
, or similarly as the predefined shortcuts.

I just discovered that with the Maj+§ shortcut (Corresponding to °), if
I try to insert an equal sign (=), guake opens too.
As the journalctrl command failed, you will find it as an attached file.
