Hello All!
I have upgraded to 17.10 recently and since then my GUI session crashes several
times a day for
no obvious reason since.
May be this is related.
Here is an excert (sensitive data masked) from /var/log/syslog

I'll try to submit the bug upstream.
About apport, it just crashes. No error visible on the console.
I'll check about the mconnect extension. I'll disable it and see if the
crashes continue.

what apport issue do you get when trying to submit it?
the journal log also has errors about mconn...@andyholmes.github.io ...
do you get the issue if you disable the "connect" extension?
