Here's what I got right when it freezed:
Jan 19 12:57:31 yassine-hp-notebook systemd-logind[1220]: Lid opened.

plane transform 0: Permission denied
Could these errors be related to the bug?

Now it is happening also before sliding the date/time screen up.
Unfortunately, It only happened when I was not watching the log. I am
trying to keep an android tablet connected via SSH to the affected
machine watching the outputs of that command you gave me most of the
time, so I hope I will get
No thanks, we don't need any of those.
I suggest next you should:
1. Install SSH: sudo apt install openssh-server
2. Log into the affected machine remotely from a second machine using ssh.
3. On the second machine start watching the log: journalctl -f
4. On the affected machine: reproduce
There are some files but they are related to crashes of Nautilus and
Totem. Should I include those?

And then please look in /var/crash for any crash files. If you find any then
please run:
ubuntu-bug /var/crash/YOURFILE.crash
and tell us what happens.
