Upgraded mesa and wayland with X-Updates PPA (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/ubuntu/updates) and problem is still present, and now gnome-shell made a crash again. Posted it with apport but now sure how follow up on it (OOPS ID 7f6749c4-77e0-11e8-8b56-fa163e839e11) -- You received

I installed 4.16.17 kernel and ubuntu-proposed and I can still reproduce it consistently but now Xwayland crashes rather than gnome-shell. (Or at least that's what I gather from /var/crash) But this might just be https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg- server/+bug/1731911 ? All I need to

Hmm, problem: https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/c1f46d2d92c2be5d4c6d68c44ef0817ccea8ccab is not being deduplicated accurately by the robots at errors.ubuntu.com. 5 hours ago the stack trace was in Mesa as mentioned above. And now it's something different. So we must generalize this bug to
