Public bug reported: In gnome-characters, when selecting a category for the first time, the contents are fine. When selecting another category and then going back to the first one, the contents of the list view are doubled, all symbols are appended again to the list. This can most easily be seen in a category with only few symbols, like "Flags" (see attached screenshot). A restart of the app resets the list view contents to only a single set.
