For me removing iio sensor not helping ... I figured out a workaround: # apt remove iio-sensor-proxy --purge then reboot, from that point your screen is always upside down, you need to issue $ xrandr --output eDP-1 --rotate inverted after every login. Now the mouse points to the same location it clicks. live installers are not affected, and installed 17.10 is not affected neither, it just worked as I expected it to work.
