@Seb128 The requirement was to create a launcher on the Desktop to help
end user open the user guide of the machine. The device enablement team
should be able implement the same feature with a symbolic link.

The .desktop was supported by nautilus 1:3.26.4-0~ubuntu18.04.5 in
bionic.
The feature has been removed[1] from nautilus by upstream. There is no
progress from upstream to re-implement the feature[2].
Device Enablement team will need to find another approach to meet
customer's requirement.

on 18.04 it works fine, for example, gnome-terminal.desktop, it will
show the icon with 'Icon=utilities-terminal', when you double click it,
it will run gnome-terminal.
Currently we had some .desktop file for OEM, so that user could run it
with double click, but on 20.04 .desktop file will be open

I install the daily image and dist-upgrade to latest packages.
The permission of these .desktop files in /usr/share/applications/ is
'-rw-r--r--', no execution permission.
